EHA CV passport in the Hematology Confolio

An online version of the EHA CV passport has been integrated into the Hematology Confolio. This manual will show how you as a user can fill out and edit your own competence in Hematology by using the CV-passport. You can read more about the EHA CV-passport here: http://www.ehaweb.org/Education/Curriculum This manual assume you have a username and password and that you have logged in. If not, read the instructions here: http://www.confolio.org/wiki/HematologyNet/HematologyNet

(Note: If possible, use the browser Mozilla Firefox (often called just Firefox) as this is the browser we use during development and testing of the Hematology Confolio. It has been tested with other major browsers such as Microsoft Internet Explorer, Safari, Google Chrome and Opera where everything appears to work, though some errors might still occur.)

Step one 1: Open the user profile editor

In the upper right corner your username is displayed as can be seen in the screen shot below.

Here it is possible to change your password. If you do that, be aware that after your new password has been saved you will need to reload the Hematology Confolio (just do a reload in the browser and wait) and log in with the new password. If you click on the second tab (with the label "Profile" you can change the name in case you want to change it.

Step 2: Accessing the EHA CV-passport editor

Click the third tab, labelled "EHA Curriculum Passport". The area below will now go white while this editor is loading. This might take some time as the editor is quite extensive and covers the whole EHA CV-passport. It can take such long time as up to 5 minutes in the worst case. When finished loading the editor will look something like the picture below.

The screenshot shows the first part of the CV-passport with the section "Red Cell Disorders" and below the so called items of that section are listed with a description. To the right there is a field for each item where you can edit your current competence level for what the item describes. To edit or change the value, double-click on the area and a drop-down menu will appear with three possible values. These are defined as:

  • Awareness : basic notions
  • Knowledge : updated concepts on patho-physiology, epidemiology, diagnosis, prognosis, and different therapeutic approaches.
  • Competence : adequate understanding and practical integration of knowledge and skills for optimal diagnosis and treatment of the patients at any phase of their disease.

When you want to save, click the button "change settings" and all changes done in each tab will be saved. To continue edit the CV-passport bring up the editor again, ie start again from step 1 above.
